She sells seashells...
They're so pretty! The shells, I mean. I picked them off the beach Memorial Day weekend and needed some way to showcase them besides laying them out on my desk...
I knit the bracelet and choker from twine, stringing the shells through the twine beforehand. Twine is extremely cheap to use (to the tune of 79 cents a ball) and creates an interesting, rustic look. I used one #5 and one #6 needle (don't ask). And, although I was worried it would be itchy around my neck, the twine actually proved to be very comfortable.
I hoped to create the idea that somehow a shell got caught in a fishing net and wrapped around my neck. I don't know if I achieved it, but whatever it is, I like it.
